Welcome to NaptownRollerGirls.com
We are the Naptown Roller Girls – a group of awesome girls from Indianapolis, Indiana who want to do one thing – SKATE.
That’s right. We said it. We’re awesome. Here’s why.
Formed in 2006, The Naptown Roller Girls are a DIY roller derby league, born from the Crossroads Roller Derby league, a joint Indianapolis and Bloomington group of gals who love to don eight wheels and skate.
The Naptown Roller Girls branched off from the CRD in August to form an Indianapolis-focused league, one of more than 100 flat- and banked-track roller derby leagues around the country.
Our fast and fabulous ladies have collected bruises, torn tendons, dislocated ankles and broken bones to bring roller derby to the Indianapolis area. We’re dedicated to skating, practicing, falling on our asses and getting back up for the next six months to prepare one hell of a debut bout for our roller derby fans in January, 2007.
We’ll also be showing off our short skirts, fish nets and killer moves during a demonstration bout at the Indy Hot Rod Ruckus car show on Sept. 9 in Brownsburg, Ind.
Hugs and stitches go to our other Indiana roller derby friends in Bloomington and Fort Wayne, Ind., as well as the women of roller derby across the country. We love our roller derby sisters – we’ll see ya in the rink!
