Photography, read, ride bikes, and hang out with family

Were you a troublemaker as a kid?
As a kid I followed the rules.

As an adult?
As an adult, I’ve decided rules can be broken as long as no one gets hurt.

What/who inspires you?
Murr, my grandmother. She told us there was nothing we couldn’t do if we wanted it bad enough.

What is the meaning behind your derby name?
Joan of Dark, Dill, and Brownie actually came up with it in Season One, but no one took it. When I needed to find a name, JOD brought it up to me and I thought it fit me perfectly. My mother is a Methodist pastor, so what could be more perfect than a bit of Fire Anne Brimstone?

What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby?
Be prepared for the time commitment and be ready to gain some of the best girlfriends anyone could ask for!
