Three cats: Mannie (6 toes on each paw), Chopin (old fat and sassy), Phoenix, aka Rotten (all white and gets into EVERYTHING!)
What do you like to do outside of derby?
Mountain biking, camping, inline marathons, reading, mentoring a troubled teen, and hanging with friends
Were you a troublemaker as a kid?
I started young.
As an adult?
Why stop now? It is too much fun.
What/who inspires you?
My grandmother. She was an incredible woman. If I am half the woman she was when I die, I will die a happy person. My grandfather, too. He taught me how to argue. That was his favorite thing to do with us grandkids.
What is the meaning behind your derby name?
It is a saying that I have said for 15+ years.
What advice would you give to anyone looking to make it in the real world?
Think outside the box to keep you on your toes and to remember there are NO problems, just challenges that can be over come.
What is your favorite inspirational quote?
It was said best on my Bust in February 2009 for the Busting out for Breast Cancer event. “We never know how high we are till we are called to rise and then if we are true to our plan our statures touch the skies.” — Emily Dickenson.

100mm Hyper wheels
Tailbone protector or padded shorts?
Yes and yes! We have to protect our best assets.
What advice would you give to someone looking to enter the world of derby?
Make sure you take care of your body. Stay healthy and stay in shape, and learn all you can about the sport, history to present! Be sure to get the proper equipment (skates are the most important).
